The use of nanospecific materials will increase tremendously over the next decade, both in consumer products, energy sector, waste management, health care and many others. We are active in the production of some of these materials and have a policy to stimulate sustainable and safe use of these products. Our experience and equipment allows us to combine both development/application with providing service to those that have less facilities or expertise to judge particle properties.
Our services include:
Particle screening and analysis
If you want to know more detailed analysis of particles, such as size, shape, zeta potential or simply the amount of (nano)particles in a specific sample we can measure this either in-house or through or connections with the best centers throughout the world. Applications: quality control, environmental contamination, emission hazards.
Exposure monitoring
Producing or using nanoscale materials may cause exposure of your workers or consumers to these materials. We provide solutions for sampling, measurement of particles (numbers, surface) in air or waste water, and biomonitoring of particles in biological samples such as sputum and nasal lavage. We are also developing a NanoWipeKit® that is a simple instrument to detect particle contamination in your facilities along with our particle counting technology (LungVision). Biocompatibility
If your coatings or carriers are used on medical devices you would like to have a simple test during development on biocompatibility of your original product and breakdown components. We offer testing on blood coagulation, immune-response and macrophage-activation as a means of rapid screening.
Biodegradation
Degradation of nanomaterials is an important issue since it will prevent bioaccumulation in environment, thereby reducing the chronic hazards. We offer standardized solutions to test the degradation in different matrices and environments.
