MM-Dots PDF Print

MM-Dots are fluorescent dyes encapsulated in non-magnetic silica beads ranging form 20 nm up to 10 µm. They are longlasting fluorescents avoiding shortcomings of conventional organic fluorescent dyes. Furthermore they may be an efficient and cost effective alternative to the quantum dot technology in research, biotechnology and drugdiscovery. First samples of prototypes in different bead sizes with different dyes will be available soon for purposes of research.

 
MagSi-Fluor PDF Print

These fluorescent magnetic silica beads will open a vast number of new applications for the magnetic bead technology. MagnaMedics collaborates with leading research institutes to develop MagSi-Fluor for a vast range of existing and emerging applications. Cases in point are: multiple analyte detection (multiplexing), signal detection & enhancement, imaging studies, lab-on-the chip or bio-sensors. MagSi-Biomarker Tools PDF Print

MagSi-protein A and MagSi-protein G beads
can be used to detect or isolate target biomarkers like relevant proteins or peptides by coupling the Fc domain of the IgG antibody for a target biomarker. The advantage of protein G an A beads, compared to streptavidin beads, is that the antibody does not need to be biotinylated and the binding is reversible. No cross linking of the antibody is needed using our protocols and the target biomarker can be eluted under native conditions for downstream analysis!


MagSi-proteomics reversed phase beads
are magnetic beads that are an ideal tool for the purification, concentration and desalting of peptides and protein digests. The surface of the beads has been modified with C4, C8 and C18 alkyl groups that are typical for reversed phase applications. MagSi proteomics RP beads are an ideal tool for automated, parallel sample preparation prior to mass spectrometry and provide best quality mass spectrometry data. A typical protein tryptic digest of up to 1 nmol in total can now be desalted at prices below 1 EUR without time consuming column filling or pipetting.
